Sunset has always been my favourite time to take in the Illawarra escarpment. I grew up in Bulli and saw this view daily. Having settled home in recent years as a mature adult, I am now deeply grateful for the majesty of the natural beauty I grew up with. Captured in an abstract style with my signature pinks and blacks, this painting is where I first tried bold outlines rather than a blended effect combined with the watery moody blacks.  It is both striking and subtle. I am hoping this painting wil resonate with others who love our escarpment, but is prepared to view it from a parallel lens.
